Russian State Duma hosted working meeting on Technoforum

The Russian State Duma hosted a working meeting devoted to the Technoforum exhibition, where representatives of relevant ministries, industry associations, and research centres discussed the exhibition development in the new format with the management of Expocentre AO.

Deputy of the Russian State Duma and Chairman of the organising committee Vladimir Kononov pointed out that Technoforum 2019 was a part of the Research-Technology-Innovations Expo project aimed to create an effective environment for presentation and promotion of technological breakthroughs.

Director General of Expocentre AO Sergey Bednov said that Technoforum would develop in a polytechnic way. "Besides, we would like Technoforum to become not only an instrument to showcase the latest technology and equipment but also an important networking platform," said Sergey Bednov in his report.

"Technoforum is included in the schedule of trade shows supported by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade for 2019," underlined Director of Department of Machine Tool Building and Investment Machine Building Mikhail Ivanov. He stated that Technoforum kept up with the times and added in the program such important topics as additive manufacturing. The Ministry, in its turn, is willing to propose some subjects and initiate some events of the Technoforum supporting program on the first exhibition day.

Director of the Department of Exhibition, Trade Fair and Congress Activities of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Selivanov, Director of the Department of Innovations and Advanced Studies of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education Vadim Medvedev, Deputy Director of the Department Regulating Foreign Trade and Export Support Yusuf Khanukayev, President of the Stankoinstrument Russian Machine Tool Association Georgy Samodurov, Chairman of the Central Board of VOIR, the Russian Society of Inventors and Rationalizatiors, Anton Ishchenko, Deputy Head of Department of External Communications of the Industrial Development Fund Andrey Raym,  Rector of STANKIN Moscow State Technological University Elena Katayeva, CEO of the Russian Association of Robotics Alisa Koniukhovskaia, and Director of Information and Marketing Centre of NUST MISIS Natalia Korotchenko also made their proposals on cooperation within the Technoforum 2019 supporting program.
