International Exhibition for Equipment and Technology for Processing of Construction Materials

This year Technoforum has been included in the intersectoral Research–Technology – Innovations Expo project, which brings together major events with participation of Russian government authorities and aimed to help implementing national projects and other priority tasks related to digitalization of economy.    

Technoforum offers high tech solutions for different sectors of industry. It is the main autumn event, which serves as an effective platform for networking between Russian and foreign machine builders, presenting new equipment, and providing insights into global trends and industry prospects. It is here that representatives of different sectors can see new technologies and choose necessary tools to solve specific production problems.

 Show Highlights

This year Technoforum introduced two new sections: Robotics and Industrial Automation, and Welding and Related Technologies. The Additive Manufacturing. 3D Printing section continued to develop.   

Regional development funds of the Penza, Ryazan, Tver and Yaroslavl regions supported their exhibitors. Two machine building clusters from Moscow and the Ryazan region as well as the Technical Universities Association and Vyatka State University were newcomers to the Science, Vocational Education and Production section. 

The latest developments in robotics, additive manufacturing and machine building were showcased not only by the industry’s enterprises but also Russia’s leading technical universities and colleges such as the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, STANKIN Moscow State University of Technology, Moscow Aviation Institute, Moscow Polytech, Moscow Power Engineering Institute and National University of Science and Technology MISiS.

The Stankoinstrument Association, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, STANKIN Moscow State University of Technology and National University of Science and Technology MISiS held a series of events with active participation from students and teaching staff.  

The Employment Centre provided information about current job offers of exhibiting companies, posted CVs, and offered professional career development consultations.   

Supporting Events

The event programme was opened with the Panel on Digitalization, Digital Industry and Artificial Intelligence. It was organised by the Department of Digital Technologies of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and Zyfra Group with assistance of Expocentre AO and the Expert Council on Scientific and Technological Development and Intellectual Property of the Russian State Duma Committee on Education and Science. The focus of discussions was on digitalization, additive manufacturing, robotics, AI and process automation.

Other important events were

  • the Conference on Comprehensive Technologies for Upgrade and Modernization of Defense Industry Enterprises in Accordance with the Industry 4.0 Concept, organised by the Stankoinstrument Association

  • the Conference on Innovative Machine Building, Technologies, Tooling for Rolling Stock Manufacturing. Digital Production, Comprehensive Process Automation, organised by the Stankoinstrument Association

  • the Expert Session on the Strategy of Scientific and Technical Development of Russia: Digital Convergence Technologies, organised by STANKIN Moscow State University of Technology

  • the Workshop on How Robotize Production, organised by the Russian Association of Robotics (RAR)

  • the Conference on Welding Technology and Automation, organised by Rena Solutions.

This year, Technoforum launched Russia’s first competition of industrial projects for technologists of companies working in manufacturing industries TECHNOforumLeader. It was organised by Expocentre AO with assistance from Prioritet OOO. You can see the list of winners here.

The first business lunch for marketing experts of manufacturing companies at Technoforum offered manufacturing companies operating in the Russian market ready-made cases and promotion of machine tool products in the Russian market. The business lunch was attended by representatives of the Stankoinstrument Association, marketing experts of Algoritm Tochnosti, Vostokmash, Gigant, Grover International, Intehnika, Pegas, Rivers, Russkiy Instrument, Sapphire, Siemens, T.R.O.S., Fanuc, Finval, and other well-known engineering companies.

The 2nd Russian Meeting of Patent Attorneys was organised by VOIR – the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Rationalizers with support of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, Rospatent – the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, the Ulyanovsk Oblast Government and Expocentre AO.

The Master Class on Protection of Intellectual Property and Increase of Company Value generated a lot of interest. It was held by researcher at Lomonosov Moscow State University Irina Morozova, who is a well-known IP expert. The event was organised by VOIR – the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Rationalizers with support of Expocentre AO and the Expert Council on Scientific and Technological Development and Intellectual Property of the Russian State Duma Committee on Education and Science.
