Experts on machine and machine tool building development have discussed the status and prospects of digital technology application

The International Conference on Digital Technologies for Machine and Machine Tool Building (TSIFRAMASH 2020) was held within Russian Industry Week running these days at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds, Moscow.

At the conference, organised by the Stankin Moscow State University of Technology and the Association of Digital Innovations in Machine Building with assistance of EXPOCENTRE AO, the main tendencies of Industry 4.0 development in the world, new approaches and solutions in creation of smart manufacturing, problems of ensuring integration of control systems of smart manufacturing and many others were discussed. The conference was held in a mixed offline and online format, which allowed German and Czech experts to participate in the event despite closed borders. The conference was moderated by Boris Pozdneyev, Board Chairman of the Association of Digital Innovations in Machine Building. 

Rector of the Stankin Moscow State University of Technology Elena Kataeva addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech: "The development of intelligent production systems and maintenance of the entire product life cycle in the digital environment is becoming one of the basic conditions for the development of industry as a whole. It is important for all of us to preserve and develop key competencies in the machine tool building and production systems independent of imported equipment, components and software".

The official part was continued by the military attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Russia, Commodore Cho So Mo. He highly appreciated the results of cooperation between the Stankin University and the Embassy and stressed that 22 students from Myanmar are currently studying at the University, and over the years of cooperation the Stankin University has trained more than 250 specialists for the RUM, successfully demonstrating themselves in high scientific and government positions in their country. 

Andrey Lotsman, First Deputy Chairman of the RSPP Committee on Technical Regulation, Standardisation and Conformity Assessment, emphasised in his speech that at such a difficult time the organisers managed to gather professionals both at the Technoforum exhibition and at important for the industry TSIFRAMASH conference. 

From Germany, one of the leaders of the Schuler Group, Mr. Ralf Schweitzer, greeted the conference participants. Czech colleague Philip Bushina wished the conference participants fruitful work online.

Sergey Pugachev, Chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation, Standardisation and Product Quality of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressed that for machine builders who produce serious equipment, digital support at all stages of the life cycle, from design to disposal is an urgent task today. 

During the plenary session in the format of live discussion, experts discussed the strategy of transition to digital development, the priorities of this transition and new approaches to the interaction of industry enterprises, IT companies and technical universities.
